Variations in use rates to different medical procedures (France, 2014)
Reading: In 2014, 143,744 hospitalizations took place for a carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. This procedure ranks second in national use rates, 220 for 100,000 inhabitants, and first in use rates dispersion per departement (standard deviation : 0,62). Surgery rates for this procedures vary from 66 hospital stays for 100,000 inhabitants for the department of Réunion to 386 for that of Meuse (see Atlas p. 33).
