Needy people who do not seek health care through the usual channels, either because they have no health insurance, because they cannot pay the part of the bill not reimbursed, or because, though later reimbursed, they cannot afford to advance the cash.

Shelters, centers, and health care facilities for the needy

Method

  • The first stage of the survey was to solicit information from various types of centers for deprived populations (hospitals, shelters, centers for education, training, etc.) in order to draw up a list of all facilities which provide health care for the needy.
  • In the second stage, these facilities were surveyed.
